This will be the world's largest airliner, carrying more than 500 passengers. Many kilometres of specially profiled metal aluminium sections called "stringers" are built into the skin of each aircraft providing rigidity and strength to the fuselage. These components are built at Claudius Peters' factory in Buxtehude, near Hamburg.
Claudius Peters' relationship as a supplier partner with Airbus began in the early 1980s, from the early days of the A300 to the current A340 and A380 series, the company has supplied stringers for every Airbus aircraft in service today.
