Dual Study Constructional Engineering

In cooperation with HS21, we now have the opportunity for a young person(s) to complete the practical phases of a dual study in constructional engineering at Claudius Peters headquarters in Buxtehude.

You will learn all about the business areas of this dynamic, long established company and at the end of your practical studies, you will receive an officially recognized degree in engineering with certification. Studies will commence in September, the duration of study is 7 semesters.

After graduation, the successful candidate(s) will have the opportunity to take up an independent and diversified position in structural and plant engineering with a focus on structural plant design in both mechanical and procedural engineering.

Your scope of duties will include quotation processing for the implementation of constructional and steel construction services; preparation of technical specifications and capacity indexes; scheduling of the overall project; optimization of the structural design and the selection/evaluation of potential construction and steel construction sub-contractors.

You will be supported by experienced and dedicated colleagues but at the same time you will be encouraged to display both initiative and independence. All our engineers operate globally providing technical back-up to customers on site. A future area of responsibility will also be to monitor construction work in Germany and other countries, after further satisfactory introduction training.

For this challenging task we are looking for fully motivated and flexible young person(s) who can embrace the challenge of working internationally. We require candidates, who are self-motivated, enjoy further learning, self-confident and not afraid of responsibility. A good knowledge of the English written and spoken language is preferred, particularly for overseas assignments.

• Preparation of technical documentation for plant engineering customers in accordance with international standards, in close cooperation with the Project Manager.
• Be familiar with the operative preparation of technical documentation.
• Ensure that statutory, legal and normative requirements (Product Liability Law, Machine Directive, etc.) are incorporated within customers’ documentation.
• Monitor, manage and maintain project-related documents in the Claudius Peters’ document management system.
• Be responsible for the coordination of the project documentation with customers.
• To assist, guide and coordinate with Claudius Peters’ service partners.
• To engage in the optimization/realization of a technical document management system.
• Develop new documentation concepts together with our specialist departments and quality management.
• Coordinate, monitor and maintain supplier’s documentation.

• You should be a fully qualified technician and/or engineer.
• You area qualified technical editor.
• You have already worked for several years in the profession with vast experience in the preparation of technical documentation for machinery and plant engineering companies.
• You have knowledge of the valid standards and directives as well as legal regulations on technical documentation.
• You have an excellent command of the German and English language, spoken and written; other languages would be an advantage.
• You have good communication skills to consistently develop solutions; communicate internally with colleagues and additionally with suppliers.
• You have good organization skills and enjoy processing technical information.
• You are highly experienced in computer skills with good knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, Graphic and Image Editors, Microsoft Office etc.
